I absolutely loved Hunter in this book! He was such a sweet southern gentleman, even though his current profession might have seemed a bit....different. But he was currently employed in that job so as to avoid having to join up the family business. I found it pretty easy to fall for Hunter with all his southern charm. Rory on the other hand, I liked her okay, but I wasn't exactly wowed by her character. But something about her drew Hunter in, but the fact that he had to work as hard as he did to convince her that they should be a couple was kind of a turn off for me. Once I learned more about her, I began to understand her character better. There is definitely some dysfunction in Hunter's family, specifically between his brother Sam and their parents, and it all comes to a head in the most ugly of ways, but that event seems to be the catalyst for big changes for both Hunter and Rory, but in the most positive way. Kudos to Xavier Neal for another fantastic story!
