Another fantastic book for this series! Parker is self-deprecating to a fault, but not without reason. He's done things in his life that he is not proud of, and has suffered his share of tragedy. Because of this, he hasn't learned to fully forgive himself in a way that's healthy. He's not learned to see the forest for the trees and believes he's just bad. Until Kayla enters the picture. For the most part, I liked Kayla and her outlandishness at times; there were a couple of instances where I wasn't her biggest fan, but I know you can't like everything about every character you read. If there's one thing LLV knows how to do, it's create a tortured hero that you know deserves the world and you can't wait to see what happens when he finally realizes and accepts that fact, and once it happens for Parker, it's a beautiful thing!
