I was excited to read this book, because, well, who the author is. And for the most part, I loved this story. I don't know if the intention was there deliberately, but I have no love for Mac. Absolutely NONE. I adore Bas, but if it were possible, I'd probably roundhouse kick Mac in the back of her knees. She made me so incredibly freakin' angry I had to put the book down a few times, especially when she made herself out to be the victim. What made this story for me was Bas and Ryder; they were the true gems of this book.
