Oh man, this book had me just as enthralled as the first one did! It's a fantastic view of the criminal underworld of the the Russian Mob, the Italian Mafia and The Cartel, and especially the dynamics between Chloe, Espi and Dante. The connection between Chloe and Espi is a thing of beauty in that dark world, and it's what helps bring balance for Espi when it comes to dealing with his brother Dante. I could understand Espi's wanting to choose on the side of hate rather than love, given how he grew up and how familiar he is with the emotion of hate. I'm looking forward to reading more from this series.
