This was my first time reading SR Jones, and I absolutely devoured this book! I read the prequel, although it's not necessary because you'll get the condensed version of that in this particular story, but you do get the story of exactly how Violet ends up with Andrius, as well as her plans and the reason for her actions.
The chemistry between Andrius and Violet is there, even if Violet is both drawn to, and scared of Andrius. Andrius on the other hand is just as attracted to Violet, but doesn't trust her, or his boss (who was kind enough "gift" Violet to Andrius). They've each got their secrets, and there are plenty of twists and turns in this first part of the series, and that cliffhanger had me all worked up and frustrated because I now have to practice being patient (something I never mastered) before finding out what's going to happen for all of the key players in this story!
