RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - Insolent (Crimson Elite #4) by T.L. Smith

Title: Insolent
Series: A Crimson Elite Novel
Author: T.L. Smith
Genre: Romance
Release Date: June 4, 2019

Love had cut me in so many ways I wondered if my heart could take any more.
But then I saw him.
He was my boss.
A single father.
And to top it off he was insolent.
I didn’t intend to want him, that wasn’t my objective. But somehow I couldn’t say no.
We shouldn’t have worked, but like witchcraft, I was under his spell.
My heart’s been destroyed before, I’m not sure it can handle heartbreak again.

This is the book I've been waiting for since reading Cavalier a few months back, and this one did NOT disappoint. At. All.

I'll admit, I was not a fan of Darby throughout the first three books, simply because of how he uncaring he was toward each of the female characters of their respective books, especially his plan for Ariel (Falcon's lady). I get wanting and needing to be protective of your business, but thank goodness that plan didn't work!

So this is told in dual POV, and we get a flashback to three months prior to the start of the story when Darby learns of his impending fatherhood. Out of all four of the men we've met in this series, both Creed and Darby are the last two I would've imagined being fathers; but I guess that's what makes it work, the least likely is the one who steps into the role almost seamlessly. Gotta say, it definitely isn't easy for Darby, given the situation with his son's mother.
