This is a quick but entertaining and funny read, and I laughed pretty much from start to finish. I liked the career field they were a part of, I've not read a lot of books in which the characters are researchers in the medical community. As supervisor and subordinate, they seem to harbor some type of animosity between them, but that's just on the surface.
There's plenty of chemistry between Candace and Harrison, but Candace isn't looking to get involved with anyone, especially as the details of her last relationship are revealed, she's doing what she needs to do to protect her heart and her sanity. While Harrison comes across like a jackhole at the start, when it comes to Candace he's a sweetheart and willing to do whatever it takes to let Candace know he's for real about his feelings for her.
I was a bit surprised by Harrison's idea about how to handle their relationship, but I liked how everything worked out in the end, and the epilogue was especially sweet. I will say that I'm hoping we'll see stories on two of Candace's co-workers, Carlton and Garrison.
