So going into this book, I wasn't entirely sure how to feel about Daxon, I'd only read book 3 and when my initial reaction to his character was a bit...off putting. But as I got to know him in this book, I'm so happy to report my feelings towards his character have done a complete 180. Sure he comes across as a grumpy bear, but man, once you get that glimpse into the person he really on the inside, it's hard to not fall for his charm! I got the biggest kick out of his interactions with Rita, and even though I'm not a fan of the older woman/younger man trope (which is so odd because I'm 4 years older than my husband), I have to admit that this is one book I will definitely re-read at some point because it's so much fun!
