While I haven't read all of T.L. Smith's books, I have to say that the ones I've read have all left me feeling some type of way, and goodness, there are times I embrace my insomnia because I'm able to get in some uninterrupted quality reading time, and once I got started with this book, I couldn't put it down. This is book 2, and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend Moments of Malevolence, as Kyson's brothers do show up in this particular book. There's no denying the chemistry between Kalilah and Kyson, but it does take them a while to get to that point given their feelings for each other when they first meet. I was impressed with Kalilah, given everything she's endured up to the point of encountering Kyson, and then having to deal with the fallout of what she saw that she wasn't meant to see. I got a big kick seeing the evolution of their relationship, and I can't wait for Kenzo's book!
