I thought this was an interesting story, sort of like a prequel of Lillian's life before we meet her in A Chance at Love. With this book, we meet a 12-year old Lillian and her bodyguard, Angelo, who is ten years her senior. After watching her grow from a tween to a young, independent, vibrant woman, he can no longer deny his true feelings for Lillian. But as things do happen in these stories, the road to a HEA is rocky, and hearts will be broken. What I can't wait for is to find out what's going to happen once Lillian is back in New York and sees Angelo again for the first time in years. Talk about one difficult decision!

K.L. Myers was born in West Berlin, Germany while her father was stationed there. She spent her childhood moving from continent to continent finally landing permanently in Colorado when her father retired. Eventually, K.L. moved to "hell", aka Arizona where she resides with her husband & their fur babies. She has 2 grown daughters & 3 grandchildren.
