Going into certain authors' books, I already know what I'm in for: a sweet romance, sexy and steamy, something that's cringeworthy.
With anything by Natalie Bennett, all I've learned is to buckle up and enjoy the ride. And that's exactly what I did with this book, and once I started I couldn't put it down, no matter how many cringeworthy moments that occurred.
It's obvious there's plenty of chemistry between Nova and Rhett from the moment they meet, despite Nova's claiming otherwise when it comes to him. There are so many layers to the characters we meet in this book: Nova comes across as a shy and homebody individual, but she's got some dark secrets and desires. Rhett and his crew show up in Legacy Falls, and man do they have plenty of their own secrets. Rhett is the epitome of a bad boy, and his darkness is what calls out to Nova.
This book ends on a cliffhanger of great proportions, and I can't wait for the second book to come out because there are SO MANY questions that need ALL of the answers!
