This book y'all. Just when I didn't think this series could suck me in any more, Ms. Darling just had to give me Harleigh Rose's story and this book had me glued to my e-reader even more than I normally am (and that is a LOT my friends). Goodness knows, growing up the princess of a MC definitely isn't a typical childhood, and bless H.R. and her brother King, their childhood sucked just a bit more because of their mother. 

One thing that makes this story work is that there is a long history between H.R. and Danner (or Lion). The story is told primarily in present time, although we do get flashbacks over the years to see how the interactions between a young H.R. and Danner evolve. This is a highly charged, action-packed story, complete with angst and drama, deception, and at least 3 characters you would love to bitch slap (at least I got that feeling). There's also plenty of emotions felt throughout the story, and I felt my heart crack at least twice.

Ooh chile, this book right here? Mmm mmm mmm, Zeus will get ya goin 0-60 in about 4 words! If you read the first book, you've already met him, so you'll know exactly what I'm talking about in regards to him. Hands down, he's one of the top 5 dirty talkers I've read, and that is saying something given the amount of dirty talkers I've read over the past few years.

That's not to say that this book is pure smexiness (although I have zero issues if it were nothing but smexy). There is some angst in the story, but it's also packed with plenty of emotion as well that will hit you with all the feels. All. The. Feels. I loved seeing Lou's journey of discovering her true self and how her experiences shape her. The friendships she cultivates and what should be the mismatch love between her and Zeus makes this a phenomenal read!
