So this was my first Charity Parkerson book, but I'm planning on purchasing the rest of the series. This is a short book (only 3 chapters), but surprisingly it's still packed with plenty of good story. Neither Korey nor Zeke have actually used their words to let the other know how they feel about each other, even though it's obvious to others that feelings run deep. I had the urge to slap some sense into Zeke with his behavior after the first night they finally gave into their feelings; it was no wonder why Korey reacted the way he did. 

My heart did break for Korey though, poor thing has been through the wringer the last few years, first with his mom's health issues and then with his brother's death. It was no wonder he reached his breaking point.

I gotta admit I liked how Maverick handled the situation between Korey and Zeke, although I am curious about his own story.

Super quick read, but still plenty of heat and chemistry. Of course both Liam and Shawn are drawn to each other, but there's the little issue of Shawn being his employee, and the bigger issue of being the daughter of Liam's business partner; kinda throws a monkey wrench into any plans for hopefully getting together. I like how both characters are portrayed; Shawn's got a ginormous crush on Liam, and Liam can't keep Shawn out of his thoughts. This novella is low on angst, a mild bit of OM/OW drama, and a good ending and HEA.




Stella Stone is a pen name for an established romance author who wants to write Simply. Sexy. Stories. 
She is a mother of two boys, and wife to a bearded hubby, residing in a rural Texas town. During the day she writes sexy stories while her children are at school. In the afternoon, she is chauffeur, Taekwondo observer, loud baseball, basketball and cheering swim mom.

Lord have mercy, this book had me laughing from start to finish! Best ab workout this week! There aren't a lot of characters introduced, but the ones we do get to meet are all a riot (with the exception of one of the Four Fathers, he's just a dick of dicktastical proportions).

From reading the blurb, you might think that Trevor could be nothing more than just another billionaire dillhole who expects the world to cater to him, but that assumption is grossly incorrect. He is a complicated man, but that is due to what he's been living with his entire life. He's got an unusual coping mechanism when he's stressed, and the more stress he's under the worse his coping mechanism seems to fail him. It's only when he's with Lucy that things go radio silent. 

Lucy's recently relocated to Tampa to try and "find herself". From the outset she doesn't seem to have much going on and could possibly come across as flighty, but she's got a good heart and is able to recognize when Trevor's starting to feel stressed and she does what she can to help him stay calm.  

The chemistry between Trevor and Lucy is electric right from their first meeting, even though Trevor's manners were clearly lacking, but that could have been the fact that seeing Lucy threw him so far off-kilter he needed a kickstand to help him stay upright. Of course there's at least one hater in the cast of characters who creates so unnecessary drama and heartache you might feel the need to kick assticles. I swear I dislike this character so much that when I get to that story I'll praying for their downfall lmao!

     Being Sunday, I decide to take a break from memory lane. I snatch a worn historical romance paperback from Gran’s bookshelf and slide into my brand new white bikini. Grabbing my towel and a Mike’s Hard Lemonade from the fridge, I head out back. 
     The sun feels amazing on my skin. I inhale the breeze, tasting the salt of the ocean on my tongue. I drop my towel on the lawn chair and get comfortable. My shades are down, and my book is ready to be dominated. 
     “This is nice,” I hum to myself, lifting my lemonade and taking a nice sip. 
     And out it all repels as I spit and choke on it. 
     “Jeeeesus Christ.” 
     I knock my sunglasses halfway down my nose as my eyes threaten to fall out of their sockets.             Where in holy heavens did he come from? The half-naked man leaning on his balcony across the way. My tongue about falls out of my mouth. Is that Numbers? And holy shit, when did he get so much muscle? I’d call him fit, but that’s not fit. That’s like, “Hi, I eat muscle for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and now I’m just all muscle.” 
     I wipe at my chin, unsure whether it’s lemonade splatter or I'm drooling. I’m probably drooling. I wasn’t paying attention to much of him yesterday when he was acting all crazy on my front step. I just wanted him gone. To be honest, while he was babbling, I was trying to dig in the back of my brain for my old high school karate moves in case he tried something on me. Looking at him now, I wish he had. 
     He lifts his hand, threading his large hand through his hair and dragging his fingers down his hard chest covered in a dusting of hair. “Oh boy, where’s that hand going?” I mumble, licking my lips. Oh yeah. I see where this is going. Yep, oh yeah... Did I just moan? 
     Oh, hell yeah I did, but it’s so worth it. His hand dips down into his board shorts and he adjusts himself. Feel free to pull them down. Show us the goods, I think, mentally visualizing just how big his junk is. He’s a pretty big guy. Big hands. Theory says, and all. 
     Watching him fondle himself in all his hot glory, my curiosity piques. How old is he really? He sure had a reason to take offense by my calling him old. He certainly doesn’t look old. He surely looks a zillion times hotter than Jimmy, and he was only twenty-eight. I’m not an age wizard, but if I had to guess, I’d say late thirties, early forties. Definitely a bit out of my age range. Why? No idea. No real reason screaming stay away. Well, besides the major one being he wants to evict me, tear down my Gran’s life of memories, and probably build a gym in its place. 
     Yeah, that’s a good enough reason. 
      It also reminds me it’s the guys who look appealing on the outside that usually turn out to be dicks on the inside.
