RELEASE DAY BLITZ & REVIEW - Bulletproof (Righteous Outlaws #2) by Savannah Rylan

Bulletproof by Savannah Rylan
A Righteous Outlaws novel
RELEASE DAY BLITZ
5/25/2016

Kade Danielson is in love. He’s got his brothers and his bike, but he’s still missing that one special person.

Sienna Jacobs is oblivious. Kade has been in love with her for most of their lives. But, Sienna is the Prez’s daughter, therefore off limits.

One night of passion leads to an unforeseen event. Can Kade and Sienna and baby make three? Or will Sienna’s dad break up the little family to be?

This is the second book in the Righteous Outlaws MC series, and I enjoyed this one just as much as I did the first book. For me, I tend to enjoy romances more if the characters already have a connection to each other, that somehow makes it seem more believable. Kade and Sienna have known each other since they kids, and that's how long Kade has been in love with her. For all the crap he was talking about Cash and his feelings for Aubree in their book (Warrant), he's pretty much the same way towards Sienna. Difference here is that he actually wants long-term with her and she's not in that same mindset. Of course that all changes a few weeks after their hook-up. Not only adding to that unintended result of said hook-up, how will Sienna's father handle the news? And, there's still tensions between the Righteous Outlaws, the Montamos MC as well as Gordita and her crew. Another solid story in this series, I'm already looking forward to the next book.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ - Hook (Las Vegas Series, Book 1) by Marie York

Hook (Book 1)
Las Vegas Series
By Marie York
Release Date:December 17th
BUY IT ON AMAZON: http://amzn.to/1mmf36J

Synopsis

Knox “Takedown” MacArthur was a good Southern boy until he moved to Vegas to pursue MMA fighting.
The cage, the victories, the money, changed him.
What little good is left hangs on by a thread.
But then he walks into a strip club and spots her…

Mila Greene was destined for great things, but then her parents died and she was left to care for her eleven year old sister.
Stripping was fast easy money and eventually she forgot about her dreams.
Keeping her sister from following in her footsteps is her only focus until he walks into her club…

When these two broken souls come together, fires will ignite. Will they be burned, or can they protect themselves from the heat?

Another fun, hot and sexy start to a new series by Marie York, this time we get Knox and Mila. Knox is the UFC champ, and while he has cockiness and swagger in the ring, he's actually a down-to-earth type of guy outside of his fighter persona. But the fame and fortune are beginning to change him, and not in a good way.

Mila is doing what she can to take care and support her younger sister after their parents died. Unfortunately for Mila, the fastest way to get paid (legally I might add) is being a stripper. She's attracted to Knox the first time they meet, and although she knows she should stay away, her heart is telling her to do the opposite.

I love the chemistry between Knox and Mila, it's more than just about the sexuals between them. Even though this isn't a long story, there is still an actual storyline outside of the sex between Knox and Mila. They've both got issues and things from their pasts that have shaped them into the characters we're getting to know, and on top of all of that there is the current issue of Mila's sister MacKenzie, who, I'm guessing, is acting like a typical teenager rebelling against the world. Granted, I'm sure part of her behavior stems from the loss of their parents, but there is only so much slack you can give before you lose your shizz with her.

This is a great start to this series and I'm looking forward to reading Jab when it's released.

NEW RELEASE REVIEW - Body of Law (Volume One) by Amanda Lance

Body of Law (Volume 1)
by Amanda Lance
Release Date: 4 December 2014

SYNOPSIS:
This routine is killing me.

Day in and day out, it’s; the same thing: go to work, bed a whore, get a criminal off on a technicality— pretty standard for one of Chicago’s most established criminal defense attorneys. Yet I’m almost positive that if I don’t find something to get me out of this rut I’ll go as crazy as the murders I defend.

And when Violet Donovan walks in, the smart-mouthed intern who is anything but routine, I’m sure those pouty lips and fuck-me eyes are just what I need to get my cock and love for the law twitching again.

Too bad she also happens to be the daughter of the man who once tried to mentor me.

Too bad she’s completely off limits.

REVIEW:
Well this is certainly a crazy story to read! But I loved every minute of it, read it in one sitting. Violet and Sebastian are the very embodiment of the phrase "opposites attract".

Violet is the idealistic lawyer, who wants to practice law to help make a difference in the world. And Sebastian is the polar opposite; he defends criminals (and usually wins), regardless of whether they are guilty or not. He's in it for the money and doesn't care who knows it.

But there is more to Sebastian than you would think, and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen with him after the cliffhanger this story ends with.

The Horseman is unending,
his presence shan’t lessen.
If you break the curse,
you become the legend.

Washington Irving and Rip Van Winkle had no choice but to cover up the deadly truth behind Ichabod Crane’s disappearance. Centuries later, a Crane returns to Sleepy Hollow awakening macabre secrets once believed to be buried deep.

What if the monster that spawned the legend lived within you?

Now, Ireland Crane, reeling from a break-up and seeking a fresh start, must rely on the newly awakened Rip Van Winkle to discover the key to channeling the darkness swirling within her. Bodies are piling high and Ireland is the only one that can save Sleepy Hollow by embracing her own damning curse.

But is anyone truly safe when the Horseman rides?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

There is nothing worse than being put on the spot and asked to talk about yourself. For me it brings back that inevitable moment in a new school when the teacher would ask me to stand up, introduce myself and tell the class something about myself. I was always worried I would blurt out something stupid that I would get teased for. Something like, “My name’s Stacey and I like pickles!” Then for the rest of the school year I’d be known as the Pickle Girl and let’s be honest, no one wants that. So to avoid such a faux pas I will simply say that I love to write. It allows me to get my crazy out just enough that I can function as a normal member of society.

REVIEW:
I am in awe of this book! I got a chance to read Crane before it was released and loved every minute of that story, and honestly I wasn't sure how this book would rate in comparison to Crane. But I am very happy to report that this story has exceeded my expectations and has made sure that I am now, and will continue to be a big fan of Stacey Rourke.

If you have read the first book, you already know what Ireland Crane has to deal with (and if you haven't read it, why the hell not? Go read it. NOW!). So imagine the shock and surprise that occurs when Ireland and her sidekics (and we readers) are introduced to a new spirit who's just a bit more badass than the Hessian. I know right? Who could be more badass than the Headless Horseman? Ladies and gents, I introduce you to Lenore. Yes, it's the Lenore you remember from high school English class when you had to read "The Raven".

Ms. Rourke has a definite talent for taking characters from stories that we read growing up and giving them such a unique twist that they almost seem like an entirely new fictional character. In this book of the Legends Saga series, Ms. Rourke has managed to weave in a few pieces from Edgar Allan Poe's bodies of work, most notably with the ravens that are present throughout the story and Lenore, but also The Tell Tale Heart and The Masque of the Red Death.

What starts off as Ireland, Noah and Rip in Manhattan trying to track down the person responsible for the curse Ireland is dealing with takes a decidedly wrong, yet deadly turn when they meet Ridley Peolte, who himself ends up cursed as well, then literally all hell breaks loose when Lenore is unleashed from her burial spot.

This is where I will end my review, so as not to post any type of spoiler, other than to say this is a series I definitely recommend and I cannot wait to see how the next book series plays out.
