“May I help you?” she asked. He lifted a brow. Her question should’ve irked him.
She lounged in his father’s house, as if she belonged there. But the light sound of her voice brought wicked images to his mind.
“What type of help are you offering?”

“Richard Head.” She was still giggling. He waited for his annoyance at the grating sound. It didn’t come. Once again, he nodded.
“Or is it Dick Head?” she asked around peals of laughter that drew a chuckle from him.
“Have you watched me?” That shut her up. She snapped her mouth shut and offered him and under-eyed look.
“Maybe,” she responded in a sing-song tone.

This part of the series is just as awesome as part one, quite possibly just a bit better actually. The chemistry between Kat and Tristan is still eleventy kinds of hot, but the bombshell ending of Forbidden, their relationship is over before it really gets a chance to start. Not only is their relationship status is question, things are happening in Tristan's life that could possibly unravel the seams of his life, and most definitely not a good way. I love how developed the characters are, and the twists added to the story make it so that you don't want to put the book down until you've reached the end of this installment. Seriously, my only complaint is that we have to wait until May to get the conclusion to Tristan's and Kat's story. But I would highly recommend this series, so go 1-click now!

I've read quite a few stepbrother romance stories lately, and while this wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. There were a few too many ingredients in this book: the crappy family dynamics, both Jackson's and Lilly's personal issues, the arranged marriage, the repetitiveness of the whole "stepsibling" moniker. 

As far as the characters themselves, Jackson was actually pretty decent, but Lilly on the other hand? I honestly wasn't impressed with her. She was far too malleable with her father, always saying and doing things to please her father, including co-signing on the whole arranged marriage. Lilly just didn't have enough sass and backbone in her to make her a character I wanted to care about.

Overall, this isn't a bad story, but it's not awesome either. I'm sorry to say that I found this one to be a one-and-done read.
