My thoughts:
This is one hot, sexy story! I guess it was supposed to have a hint of taboo since Ryan and Cassie are stepsiblings, but truthfully I didn't even pay attention to that particular aspect of the story; the most important is that they both have feelings for each other, and with the exception of a kiss that occurred a few years earlier, their relationship was pretty much antagonistic. Which is pretty much the flipside of being in love with that person without putting your feelings out in the open on the chance that you'll be crushed (like Doritos at the bottom of the bag).
Although this is a novella, you still get plenty of good story: the sexual tension between Ryan and Cassie, three hot ex-Marines (lucky me, I know a few military guys who are just like Ryan, Jack and Dane!), and Cassie's straight to the point best friend Lyss. The sex scenes are plenty damn hot, and I actually liked the fact that it was the woman who had to plead her case to make everything right; just a refreshing change. I'm really hoping (crossing my fingers!) that we'll get stories for Dane, Jack and Lyss.
