ARC REVIEW - His (A Dark Erotic Romance Novel) by Aubrey Dark

Title: His (A Dark Erotic Romance Novel)
Author: Aubrey Dark
Release Date: 20 October 2014
Series or Standalone: Standalone
Genre: Dark Erotic Romance

SYNOPSIS:
I never meant to be here: tied up in bed next to a serial killer.

When I followed him home, I was just playing Nancy Drew. Trying to find out his secret. His kiss was intoxicating, and I thought he was harmless.

I was wrong.

Nancy Drew never ended up in a basement, handcuffed to a radiator, teased to the edge of insanity, begging to be let go.

Soon, I stopped begging to be let go.

Soon, I started begging to be his.

REVIEW:
For this author's first book, this is an impressive read!

Both Kat and Gav survived through horrific childhood years, and the results have manifested themselves into both being members of society, but not really a part of society; sort of on the outer fringes if you will. Kat is challenged by her best friend to step out of her comfort zone by kissing the next man she sees, who just happens to be Gav. Now, when she sees him again, she sets out to return a paper that could be important to him and follows him to his house. This is the point where, had this been a movie, you would have screamed at her because you know what's bound to happen. Kat even admits this in the book, but of course she decides to go against her instinct and ultimately makes a discovery no one was prepared for.

In my opinion, Gav reminded me of Dexter Morgan, with the only difference being Gav doesn't work for the police force. Gav does what he does in his attempt to cleanse the world of the type of men who are a reminder of what Gav endured as a child.

Against better judgment on both sides, they eventually fall for each other, but will it be better or worse for them? Should a serial killer actually get to have a HEA? You will just have to read the book and see if you agree with the ending!
