Synopsis:

Five minutes until the interview begins.
Fresh on the heels of her college graduation, Cameron Heart has landed an interview at a prestigious architecture firm.

Four minutes until the interview.
She knows she’s only there because the owner, Grayson Cole, is her older sister’s friend.

Three minutes.
For the last seven years, Grayson has been the most intimidating man Cammie has ever had the pleasure, or displeasure, of being around.

Two Minutes.
But the job opportunity is too good to pass up. So, Cammie will have to ignore the fact that Grayson is handsome enough to have his own national holiday.

One.
After all, she shouldn’t feel that way about her new boss. And, he will be her new boss.
“I’m not scared of you,” I said with a confident smile.
“Perhaps we should fix that, Ms. Heart. Close the door.”

Excerpt:
I paused just outside of the front doors and took a deep breath, trying to get my bearings. I was twenty minutes early for my interview. My outfit was still wrinkle-free. My pad-folio was filled with extra copies of my resume and reference letters, and I’d rehearsed every possible question that Grayson Cole would ask:
Greatest weakness? My inability to settle for anything less than what I deserve. I’m stubborn and persistent.
The honest answer? My inability to overcome my schoolgirl crush on you even though you’re a self-righteous ass.
I would NOT be giving him the honest answer.

Author Info:
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

Cammie Heart is a reformed wild child who got her act together during her senior year of high school when she met Grayson Cole, a friend of her older sister Brooklyn, after hearing him speak about his passion for architecture. Plus, he's seven kinds of hot, so that's always a bonus.

Grayson comes across as a very closed off individual, and despite his speech during Cammie's interview, Cammie makes sure he has a hard time remembering his rules when it comes to interpersonal relationships with his employees.

The chemistry between Cammie and Grayson is awesome, especially because it seems that Cammie is the person who is able to get some reaction out of Grayson. I found it hard to like Grayson, from the start of the book he's so standoffish and aloof that I kind of wondered exactly what it was about him that had Cammie hooked from the beginning.

I am a big fan of Ms. Grey's work, having read each of her previously released books, but I am going out on a limb to say that this particular story wasn't one of my favorites. I found it hard to see the romance between Cammie and Grayson. The subplots with Cammie's immediate team boss Alan and her roommate Hannah were a bit confusing as well. What the hell was Alan's problem, and why was Hannah fired?

I liked the fact that Cammie wasn't going to let her feelings for Grayson keep her from following her dream of Paris, although her discovery prompted her to make her trip earlier than she was prepared for. She had a good reason for going back home, and the initial reunion with Grayson changed the dynamics of the function they were attending, but reparations were made at an even later function. I was surprised with Grayson's actions at the end, but the final epilogue wrapped the story up well.
