This picks up right where Volume I ended, and we get both alternating POVs for both the present time frame as well when Declan and Kara knew each six years prior. We got to see a shift in their previous relationship (if you can call it that), and what exactly happened to drive them apart all those years ago.

I will say that after all of the build-up in the first volume, the sexuals finally happen between Declan and Kara, and dayum, it's pretty damn hot!
