This was my first time reading anything by Sharla Lovelace and overall, I found this story to be entertaining. I didn't read the first book in the series, but it's not difficult to catch up with the storyline or the characters. I love the Chase family, they've got their quirks, but they're all there for each other when it counts. Unfortunately, I never really warmed up to Quinn; it's not that she's a terrible person, because she's not, she's actually got a good personality and a sense of humor, but what I couldn't get with was her bowing down to her family and not standing up for herself. Well, eventually she did, but it was the end of the book, so while there is a HEA, we don't really get a chance to see it because of how far into the story the HEA actually occurred. 

So while I wasn't exactly bowled over with Quinn's character, that's not enough of a deterrent to keep me from reading the first book in the series, and any of the future books that might be written.
