MY PERFECT MISTAKE
Over the Top #1

Forever

What happens in Aspen is definitely not staying in Aspen . . .

A girls' trip to Aspen was exactly what Shay needed to forget about her toxic ex-boyfriend. She's got her girls, pristine slopes for skiing, and hot guys everywhere. Of course, her epic self-rediscovery goes completely to hell when a wild (and deliciously hot) skier knocks Shay on her ass . . . and war is declared.

Kolton doesn't know what it is about Shay that makes him lose it. Not just his cool---although she does have an unholy gift for that---but his restraint. When anger gives way to explosive chemistry, they're both shaken with the intensity of it. But somewhere between lust and hate, Kolton and Shay realize they could have something real . . . if they don't kill each other first.

I absolutely loved this book! I feel like I've been saying that about quite a few books I've read lately, but can you really go wrong with a book whose first sentence reads "You can tell a lot about a woman by the type of bra she wears"?

To say that Kolton and Shay became enemies at first meeting is a big understatement. But something about all that animosity is the fuel for their lust for each other. Before you know it, they're hate f#cking each other. But could there more to their chemistry than what happens when they argue? They both have events from their pasts that are contributing factors to the people we get to meet in this book, and I loved watching the changes in their relationship, both personal and professional.

I love the character development for Kolton and Shay, you could empathize with Kolton's desire and trepidation at entering the dating scene again, given the tragedy he endured a few years prior. And my goodness, I'm surprised Shay lasted as long as she did with her ex, because he sounds like 74 kinds of ridiculous. The road to romance for Kolton and Shay has it bumps, but it's well worth it by the time you reach the end. I'm already waiting for the next book in the series, there's still Shay's two friends, and hopefully we'll get a story for Stella (hint hint Ms. Siskind!)

She laughs at her own jokes and has been known to eat her feelings—Gummy Bears heal all. She’s also an incurable romantic, devouring romance novels into the wee hours of the morning.
