Man Candy by Melanie Harlow
Release Date: June 20, 2016
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Not just back in town, but living in the flat right beneath mine. And he looks good enough to eat, which is just one more reason to stay away from him.
But I can’t resist.
The sex is incredible (pretty sure we’ve shaken the house right off its foundation), but he can’t fool me—not this time. A degree in marketing and five years in advertising have taught me that “true love” is a fairy tale used to sell lipstick, diamonds, and perfume. It doesn’t exist.
He thinks I’m wrong, and he wants to prove it.
I think he’s crazy, so I dare him to try.
It might be the biggest mistake of my life.

With every Melanie Harlow book I read, I measure each male lead against Lucas Fornier, and a couple have come close to his level (Charlie and Levi).
Quinn Rusek has managed to bump Lucas from that exalted pedestal (in my own head) of a great book boyfriend. He's the perfect blend of funny, downright sexy yet romantic. He knows when to push and just how far without coming off like he's trying to be controlling. He's not afraid to be sentimental, and dammit he can make pierogies!
For the most part, Jamie Owens is pretty funny, but her whole "I don't do romance" and "no relationships because true love is just a fantasy" did get on my nerves. I can somewhat understand her rationale of thinking, but she was just so dead set against the idea of a forever love I felt like shaking her. But luckily Quinn was the voice of reason and seemed to be able to get through to her on some level. Will Jamie finally learn to embrace a relationship?
The chemistry between them is all kinds of hot, but we also get to see them as friends; for me, I love a story in which the characters already have some type of history together, and in this case they grew up together, Quinn and Jamie's older brother Alex are best friends. I was also appreciative of the fact that Alex didn't mind if Quinn wanted to pursue a romantic relationship with Jamie; I understand the whole sibling and best friend concern, but hey, once they're adults it's their decision. I absolutely loved that there weren't a lot of outside and unnecessary obstacles between Quinn and Jamie, hell, he had his work cut out for him just trying to get her on the road to a relationship! But reading about their journey was filled with plenty of hilarity, a good dose of friendship and scorching hot sexy times. This is one book I highly recommend!
