If you haven't read the first three books in this series, I highly recommend you do, because even though books 1-3 focus on a different couple, both Doc and Ember are featured in those stories. I liked how Doc's and Ember's characters were written, Doc being grumpy the majority of the time, and Ember doing everything she can to forget her past. They're both attracted to each other, but unfortunately that doesn't happen, and when the past shows up for Ember, she goes ghost.

Five years pass before they see each other again, and the question remains if Doc will forgive Ember for running away, and whether or not Ember will tell Doc the truth of her past. Now, I liked the overall story, but I found it odd how everyone spoke throughout the story, it seemed stilted and very proper, which seems to be the opposite of how MC members actually talk.
