I should ignore him. But I can’t, because he just became my biggest client. And whether he’ll admit it or not, he needs me even more than I need him.

This was my first time reading Piper Lawson and I really enjoyed this story. I loved Payton's character, although I did question the fact that she's a millennial, working in the finance industry and she didn't have a home computer/notebook? I can understand the not a gamer aspect, but no computer technology at home seemed a bit strange to me. I did appreciate the fact of why she was so set on winning the dev award at her company's firm. It was hard to get a bead on Max, he is the definition of hot and cold; it's not until close to the end of the book that we finally get a glimpse as to why he is the way he is, and once I learned some more of his story, I found it easier to understand his thought processes and why it's hard for him to trust anyone.
The secondary characters really rounded out the story well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get a book on Charlie and Avery, if we do I have a feeling that it's going to be all types of hilarious.
