This is one great friends-to-lovers story! Garrett and Lauren have been best friends since elementary school, but they've never taken it past the friendship line, until 6 months prior to the start of this book. That one night was apparently a sex disaster, but they were able to get their friendship back on track; and although we get a flashback to everything that happened (or didn't) that one night, it wasn't really specified what happened that Lauren had a particular moment.
But Lauren and Garrett are so freakin' cute together! It definitely makes a difference when two people are already friends before taking it to the next level, that mean the readers aren't subjected to the awkwardness that could happen with a couple. I wasn't keen on Garrett keeping his plans such a big secret, considering how much he claims to have such a great group of friends. And for all of his having a crush on Lauren for eleventy years, why would he think he could just roll out of town once his family obligations are done? But all came together for a happy ending for Lauren and Garrett, and I love that we got to see more of Honey and Blake
