So this book picks up roughly three weeks after the end of the first book (and some of Everly's history is revealed), and with this book it's like a total role reversal in terms of behavior with Everly and Talon, especially after Everly "wakes up" from her blackout. Mention is made in book one regarding some of Everly's training, and we get to see some of that training in action when Talon makes an appearance.
The bulk of this installment deals with Everly's time in the basement and her subsequent revival. Not a lot is discussed behind the reason why Everly and Talon were seemingly brought together, so I can't wait to see what will happen with these two, in regards to their unorthodox relationship (if it can even be called that), her father, and her assignment. I'm hoping the last book won't be too far away from being released, because that ending has me on pins and needles, it's definitely a total 180 from the way book one ended!
