REVIEW BLITZ - The Wright Mistake by K.A. Linde

A new stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...

I spent six weeks screwing Austin Wright’s brains out and all I got was this broken heart.

He can’t be trusted. Not with my body or my heart. Yet, two years have passed and I still crave him like an addict needing a fix.

The last time we tried this, it nearly ruined me. I know I should run and never look back. But his dark haunted eyes and razor blade smile speak to my soul. His touch sets my body on fire. And we all know what happens when you light gasoline. Someone is bound to get burned.

A second chance might destroy us both.

Because everyone knows two wrongs don’t make a Wright.

Even though this book could be read as a standalone, it would be helpful to have read the first two books simply to understand what happened the first time around with Julia and Austin. Although at the start I was a bit confused about their particular past history, it didn't take long to get so wrapped up in the story that it didn't even matter that I didn't know what happened between Austin and Julia the first time around.

It doesn't take long to figure out that Julia's got a secret she hasn't divulged to anyone in her new circle of friends, but goodness, when she finally tells the story, it's one I certainly wasn't expecting. The back and forth between Julia and Austin at the start of the book was exhausting, and I was just reading it! I liked the stipulation Julia issued before their first date, I liked seeing that side of Austin. The biggest shock for me was the marathon event; I was stunned by that turn of events.

I will admit Austin didn't make sound choices at certain points in the book, but I was glad he finally decided to take responsibility for his actions and choices and made the right decision, because at the end of the day, he alone is responsible for his choices and how it can affect not only him, but also his loved ones.

I liked the way the story wrapped up, and I'm hoping that one Wright sibling is able to get their HEA. I'm looking forward to reading the next book, since one person seems to be oblivious to the feelings of the other person!
