I know whenever a new Kendall Ryan book hits my e-reader I'm in for a treat, and this book was no exception. I decided to go in blind with this book, and that made reading it that much more engaging, because I couldn't wait to find out what would happen. There are plenty of dynamics featured throughout this book: between Gavin and his brothers, especially Cooper; between Gavin and Emma, and the situation between Gavin, Cooper and Emma.
As far as the characters go, Cooper is the youngest brother and seemingly the one that knows how to cut loose and go with the flow of life. That's not to say he doesn't know how to be serious, he just doesn't let serious run every aspect of his life. Emma is still trying to put herself back together after her previous relationship took an abusive turn. She's vowed to not get caught up with another dominant man, but that vow doesn't stand a chance once she meets Gavin. As for Gavin, he is the middle brother and the most serious (just picture Jane Eyre's Mr. Rochester in the 21st century). Gavin has sworn to not to get involved with someone who's employed by his company after the demise of his last relationship, but there's something about Emma that calls out to him.
There are secrets that are threatening to spill with this book, and I can't wait to find out how everything will play out with the next book!
