RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - Sinister Love (Dark Intentions #2) by T.L. Smith

Title: Sinister Love
Series: Dark Intentions Duet #2
Author: T.L. Smith
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: April 24, 2018

He was a drug I couldn’t kick. I’d overdosed on him before.
It didn’t turn out well.
I was stupid enough to let him crack my heart, in hopes we would fall off the same cliff together.
No matter how much my idiotic heart wanted to love him, my head knew better.
He didn’t choose me.
He chose her.
That’s where the problem started.
Maybe that’s how it should end.

Why do I do this to myself? Knowing that anytime I read a T.L. Smith book I need 34 days to recuperate from the mindfuck that are her stories? Not to say I don't love her work because I do, but goodness, I need time to decompress and come back to reality after finishing her books. I will say that I didn't see the identity of the traitor until all was revealed and the reason why, so that was yet one more twist to this already twisty, angsty story. And anytime the author creates a character you love to hate, you know they've done a spectacular job, as done with Ryken. Did he manage to redeem himself (at least to me?) Yeah, but with everything he's already done I found it hard to embrace him as the hero. The anti-hero yes, because that's essentially what he is.
