RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - Crazy Sexy Love by Alison G. Bailey

Crazy Sexy Love, an all-new Standalone Romantic Comedy
by Alison G. Bailey is NOW LIVE!

Doug and Sophie from the International Bestselling book, The Dance get to tell their own crazy,
sexy, love story.

Sophie is an intelligent independent woman. After her parents’ divorce when she was a child, Sophie tossed the idea of “happily ever after” out the window. No personal attachments or commitments is the way she lives her life. After her best friend, Bryson reunited with her soulmate Hart, Sophie is forced to allow his friends into her world. Luckily, she is fond of her new circle of friends, except when it comes to one handsome, six foot, green eyed buffoon who won’t take no for an answer . . . Doug Truman.

Doug is everything women want in a man. He is a self-described hottie, very witty, and quite the charmer. He can’t imagine any woman not wanting his attention. And they do. The problem is, Doug has a very short attention span, except when it comes to one woman . . . Sophie Cipriano. At first all he wanted was one night, thinking it would be enough to shake his obsession. If only his best friend, Hart, hadn’t deemed Sophie off limits. Now Doug can’t get her off his mind or out of his system.

When they met, they were enemies. When their best friends got married, they were acquaintances. When they became roommates, they got to be friends. And when they were friends, neither realized what was happening until it was too late.

Y'all, this book right here had me laughing literally from start to finish and I loved every minute of it! That prologue went in a direction I wasn't expecting and pretty much set the tone for the book. This was my first time reading Alison G. Bailey, but I can say with authority that it won't be my last. Even though Doug and Sophie are from a previous book, enough information was provided that I didn't feel lost when the characters from that book are in this story, since they've all known each other for years. Since their best friends are now married, Sophie and Doug are usually around as well, even though Sophie is no fan of Doug (or is she?)

Sophie is a driven and career-oriented woman who, deep down, wants what her close friends have: that special someone who will be her forever. But Sophie's got emotional scars from her childhood that she uses as a shield to keep her from getting to close to any one man who might one day break her heart. She can be snarky at times, but she's also got a big heart and will help her friends out when needed. She's got unconditional love for two people in her life: her BFF Bryson and her grandmother Nonnina. She's afraid of her changing feelings for Doug, but not for the reason you might think.

Now let's talk about Doug: this man-child is a hot mess throughout the majority of the book; the things he says and his inner dialogue kept me in tears from laughing; it's not easy trying to contain the laughter at work, not even sure why I tried to be quiet. But as silly as he is, he's also a very sweet guy who knows how to be just the right amount of persistent without being all creepy and stalker-like. He's got plenty of charm and knows how to use, and he uses his powers for good (like what he did when Sophie's car was in the shop). Yet he's got a sensitive side that he's only exposed to Sophie and Hart; I like that he didn't back down when he told Sophie his feelings for her, and the way he was there for her when there was an issue with Nonnina. Even though Doug is 6 kinds of a hot mess, he's got such a good heart and soul that you almost don't mind the shenanigans and weird things he'll say, usually at inappropriate moments.
