I can't even begin to say how much I've been looking forward to this book. Let's just say it's been a while (and if you've read The Point Series, you'll know how long it's been for this story to see the light of day).

This story is the perfect culmination dark, dirty, sexy, gritty, light, love and redemption. And Fate plays a big part. The men we've met in this series are the best anti-heroes and you can't help but love each of them, because while they're badasses, when it comes to that one woman, we get to see a different side that makes us love them just that much more. I love the emotions we feel in this story; Ms. Crownover has a way with writing that immerses you in the story so much you seemingly feel what the character is feeling and experiencing. Getting to know Booker throughout the series, I couldn't wait for his turn in the hot seat and this definitely delivered. Karsen is perfect for him, since she is the light to his darkness. Of course I was devastated by a certain event in the book that affected him and Karsen. I understand he was doing what he thought was right, but I still felt the ramifications of his actions and decision.

I love how strong of a young woman Karsen truly is: the Point would have broken most people, but she thoroughly managed to embrace it. By doing that, we see how determined and fierce and brave she is. The twists in the story only help keep the momentum going and I was finished with the book before I was ready to let go. I'm sad this is the end of the series, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed we'll get to see all of these characters again at some point in the future.
