I enjoyed Legacy of Succession, but something about this book called to me; I think it's the characterization of William, and how well his strengths and weaknesses are shown to us (as opposed to being told). He's upfront and candid, and it's clear to see how he struggles with the rights and wrongs of what he wants and what he desires.

Ms. Edwards did a fantastic job showcasing the relationship between William and his brother Nicholas, how much they care about each other, and how deep Tamara's and Victoria's friendship is, that Tamara became wrapped up in the world Victoria is now a part of. The chemistry between William and Tamara is electric, yet somehow sweet at the same time. And I loved that Tamara was all about William, and likes him as he is. There are still some secrets and twists, and now I'm eagerly anticipating the last book!
