I’m cast away on a tropical island with a dirty, damaged alpha-hole.
I’m not one of them.
I hate him.
And I see right through those indigo-blue eyes.
Brash is hurting.
But that doesn’t give him the right to be a douchebag.
Especially now that I’m all he’s got here.
A mafia princess who knows how to set someone straight.
I will bring him to his knees.
If only he’d stop making me weak in mine.
His strong arms have become my refuge.
And his gorgeous smile, my hope.
He tells me that I belong to him.
That he’ll protect me in this dangerous place.
But what happens if my heart is at risk?
Who will save me then?
So if you've read Brute, Beast or The Nanny and the BRATVA BOSS, you'll recognize the characters in this particular book, as they're the children (or stepchildren) of the characters from those titles; this time it's Brash's turn in the hot seat.
I liked this book overall, but for me, it had a bit a slow start; maybe because I didn't get a clear reason why Brash was so antagonistic towards Aly at the start. It's not like he doesn't understand the world she grew up in. The story really began to pick up once they ended up on the uninhabited island. I liked how they managed to work together to make the most of a horrendous situation, although I was probably just as frustrated as Aly was with Brash's hot-and-cold behavior.
