This was my first time reading S. Jones and by the time I finished the prologue, I knew I was going to be in for a good read and I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed! This story covers a few tropes, but they're all tied together in a seamless way that helps to keep momentum going towards a resolution, without getting too mired down in inconsequential matters of the story. I felt bad for Charlotte and how the life she thought was smooth sailing turned out to be a catastrophic storm of epic proportions; bad enough her husband fell into the abyss of bad decisions, but then to have her ex land on her doorstep chasing after said abyss-dwelling spouse is the icing on a craptastic cake. Even after all those years apart, there's still plenty of chemistry between Quinn and Charlotte, but the love never truly died after the demise of their previous relationship. Plenty of emotional moments as well, and a good balance of action and realistic dialogue, along with a fantastic ending has ensured that
