Sometimes, I wondered if he was real.
Our time together was short, but it left a lasting impression on me.
I’m older now. Wiser, too.
Five years have passed, and I still can’t get him off my mind.
Hunter was cruel, angry, and protective.
I learned his secrets and he fled.
The day he left, I vowed to find him.
I guess now I have an obsession of my own:
Track down Hunter Hammond and make him mine.

So glad I didn't have a long wait after reading the first book, because I was just a wee bit impatient to get the conclusion and this didn't disappoint! We got plenty of angst and tension for Roe and Hunter, since this picks up five years after book one ends, only now it's Roe who is on the hunt (pun intended) looking for her man. Hunter, on the other hand, is doing his best to live his new life and not dwell on Roe; he's still dealing with his past and his feelings about what happened, and my heart about broke when his truths were revealed. Of course the tension ramps up once they're back in the same orbit, and I couldn't wait to see how everything would play out for these two.
