RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - Madam Temptress (The Magnolia Duet #2) by Meghan March

Madam Temptress Release Day Blitz/Blog Tour Collateral
Release Date: April 14, 2020

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes the stunning conclusion to the highly-anticipated Magnolia Duet.

I didn’t choose this path. No one would.
I played the cards I was dealt.
This life made me. This city made me.
I won’t apologize for who I’ve become.
Moses wouldn't have me any other way.
He says he wants forever, and I’m starting to believe him.
But I can’t outrun my past, and my sins are catching up with me.
If it’s time to atone, I’ll gladly pay my penance.
We might be getting our second chance, but we have to make it out alive first.

Madam Temptress is the conclusion of the Magnolia Duet and should be read after Creole Kingpin.

A solid conclusion to Magnolia's story, I liked seeing the change in the relationship between Mags and Moby, how he gave her the strength she needed during those stressful, emotional moments she had to contend with, how he had her back when she had to deal with the detective yet again. There were a few moments in the story where it felt like it lagged, but the last 10 or so chapters were pretty action packed and kept me glued to my e-reader. I liked how we got a couple of chapters from both Mount's and Keira's POV, although the reason why we got their POV wasn't a happy one; and there's one tragic event that stunned me, because in no way was I expecting the demise of a certain character. But that particular event did leave me with a question as to how the location was breached. I do wish there'd been more to the portion of the story that dealt with the person behind the threats to Magnolia, it seemed like that was rushed. And while the end was a good wrap up, I kinda had a feeling it would play out the way it did, but I was glad to see Mags finally get the chance at happiness that she deserves.
