This is NOT a typical bully romance, which I actually found refreshing! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good bully romance, but sometimes I want something a bit more...grounded in a way. On the surface it seems to follow other similar stories in that the main character is in a new environment and severely out of their comfort zone where they become the target of the "rulers" of the school. But with this it's so much more because we also get to see the what and why the Untouchables do what they do. I could somewhat sympathize with Brooklyn and the situation she finds herself with the passing of her mother and being uprooted from all she's ever known and now goes to one of the best schools in NYC. Without giving too much away, she eventually snags the attention of one of The Untouchables, who seems to be into her but then ignores her, and another classmate who's also intrigued with Brooklyn as well. Things aren't what they seem (are they ever), and we get one helluva cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next!
