Well, I wanted to like this more than I did, but I did manage to finish. This one just didn't do it for me like I was expecting; I love a sibling's best friend, keeping it secret romance, but goodness, these two did more trying to push the other away than trying to stay in each other's lives. I get the whole "can't cross that line and bang my best friend's sister" thought process, but sometimes I want a book in which the characters make their intentions known before the third act and we can avoid that sometimes annoying third act breakup. But, given brother Dutton's weird-as-all-get-out overprotectiveness, I can certainly understand why Billie and Ford kept their...arrangement on the DL. I do wish we'd be given a reason as to WHY Dutton is so over the top protective when it comes to Billie. I liked Billie's character though, she seemed to somewhat roll with the punches when it came to Dutton's over-the-topness, but she also knows how to push Ford's buttons.
