Synopsis
Brandon's POV for Where I Need to Be
**Please note that this is a novella to Where I Need to Be and should be read after. Finding Spencer is through the male’s point of view and doesn’t cover every detail of the story.**
With a crazy ex-girlfriend who won’t leave him alone, Brandon Montgomery is determined to move on to the brunette hottie who caught his eye at the gym he owns. Things start out slowly with Brandon and Spencer, since neither one can find the courage to speak to one another until they both happen to be in Vegas for a weekend.
It’s not true. Things don’t always stay in Vegas, and lucky for Brandon, the girl he wants to be with lives in his town. Now if his crazy ex-girlfriend, Christy, would leave him alone, Brandon could move on to where he needs to be.
Brandon and Spencer’s story is already written. You know Spencer’s side of it. Now find out what Brandon was really thinking from the moment Spencer walked into Club 24.

Review
Rating and review: ♥♥♥♥
Told from Brandon's point of view, I actually enjoyed this story more than the first in the series, Where I Need to Be, which is told from Spencer's POV. For me, romance stories can get be repetitive when told from the female POV:
- she sees a hot guy;
- they either flirt heavily, or argue (which is nothing more than flirting sarcastically);
- they finally get around to dancing the horizontal tango (which always, ALWAYS resorts in simultaneous Os. EVERY.TIME);
- then we get to the part of the story in which trust is broken, someone is betrayed, or they are set up to for betrayal leading to broken trust;
- the heartfelt tender moment when love is declared on both sides;
- then they ride off into the sunset, either by stallion (if a historical story), or a motorcycle (since that's hot in books right now).
So it was refreshing to read that Brandon isn't exactly a smooth operator and that he was extremely nervous his first few times around Spencer; hell, it was downright adorkable. And I will admit that I laughed at the scene in both books when he and Spencer were dancing in the Vegas club and he thanked her; she should have thanked him.
Know what made it even better? It wasn't a simultaneous O!
This is the third book I've read by Kimberly Knight and I must say that I like how she writes guys that aren't afraid to show emotion; it gets pretty boring reading stories about male characters who have the emotional depth of a raindrop. But, at the same time, I don't want to read a story with a guy who cries more than I do when I can't get a souffle to rise (and damnit, I've been trying for years and still can't make a freakin' souffle!)
But I digress; I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series and find how much crazy Christy still hasn't unleashed, and what role Trevor is playing in all of this.
