Synopsis
Suzy’s a control freak and
has her life mapped out - work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live

Review
Enjoyable first story in this series; at first I thought City was going to be all bad-ass and whatnot, but he's actually a romantic all the way through. But that doesn't mean he's soft, because he's definitely got the dominant thing going on.
Suzy is definitely a conundrum: she acts so prim and proper, but she's got a great smutty mind and a couple of hot fantasies. I will admit that I got a bit tired of her trying to avoid being with City simply because of her "lists" and that City didn't exactly fit the mold that her mother apparently drilled into her at a young age. But thank heavens Suzy finally got her act together, and it didn't take the entire book for it to happen.

Review
So the Gallo men aren't your typical macho men. I mean yeah, they're all pretty much badass, but they've each got a great romantic side to them and they're not afraid to show it to their women. Which is awesome because they're more like men in real life, not just how we wish men would act with us. And Michael and Mia's story is actually pretty funny; they've got great chemistry together.

Review
So glad to see City and Suzy making another appearance, this time attempting to take their relationship to the best plateau; but if you've read Throttle Me, you know how City is when it comes to Suzy, and this time he's stepped it up about eleventeen notches and is making her crazy. Plus he's still recovering from his injuries. I will say that a big detractor for me in this story is Izzy; I just don't like her, so her antics in this story were a turn-off for me.

Review
And now for my least favorite Gallo family member: Izzy. In all fairness, I somewhat liked Izzy in Throttle Me, but by the time we got to Hook Me (book 2), her antics and attitude were driving me batshit crazy. It was a stretch for me to really get into this story, let alone like it. In my opinion, Izzy is poseur: she talks about how badass she is and what she will or won't do in a relationship, but come on (pun intended), the oral sex scene? Pfft on that.
And what the hell is the deal with Flash? I also had a hard time believing the "love" between Izzy and James; they had lust for each other. But love? I didn't see it there.
