Genre: Erotic Romance
Release Date: Nov. 4th 2015
Everyone has secrets. What would it take to make you whisper yours?
Louise had no interest in relationships until one night turned her whole world around.
Hold me down. Kiss me hard. Fuck me harder.
A stranger in a strange city, she wasn’t looking to lose control. Until she did.
Intensely. Irrevocably. Dangerously.
She handed herself over to him.
One night. His rules. No names.
But he had other plans.
She’s an enigma. Unfinished business. Potential. She’s what he wants. Again and again.
And though the last thing he wanted to do was hurt her, it was on his agenda somewhere. Because relationships are messy and painful.
It’s not all about Playing Games.
I'm going to be upfront with this: if you decide to give this book a try, just be prepared that the first couple of chapters can be confusing because it's a tad difficult trying to discern which character is speaking. But once you get the hang of the dialogue, buckle up and be prepared for a hot and heavy story.
Louise isn't your typical submissive; she's sassy and feisty, and loves seeing how far she can push her luck when it comes to Dan. Now Dan, he is every bit of an alpha male with his strong Dom characteristics. Dan also enjoys his games, but he damn sure doesn't like to lose. They were only supposed to be together for one night, but of course if that were the case we wouldn't have a book to discuss right? And so we get to experience Louise's journey exploring her submissive tendencies with Dan as her master and teacher, and what supersexy times those are. But along the way, things and feelings change between Louise and Dan. But who will be the victor in the ultimate game?
‘That’s all?’ Powerful words. Frightening, too.
Almost as though reading her thoughts, Dan added, ‘Of course, I want to fuck you, too.’
‘Of course,’ she added with a smile. ‘What do you propose?’ Louise kept her eyes on the kitchen, not daring to face him, instead watching from the corner of her eyes.
‘Given the choice, I'd like to continue where we left off, with you on all fours.’ His hand found her chin and he turned her to face him. Sliding the hair from her shoulders, he pulled the strands through his fingers where they shone like the sun. ‘Given the opportunity, I’d like to place my hands around your neck, feel your breath under my palm. Given your encouragement, I’d peel you out of your clothes, and slide my fingers through that slick, pink ribbon between your legs.’
His words were a bare whisper, intensity burning and branding her skin. ‘And when you’ve given me everything, and you’re rung wet and shaking, I’d make you come on my tongue.’ She swallowed audibly. It didn't hide the libidinous lilt in her voice, the longing as she said, ‘So what’s your plan?’
‘Date night.’ His hands cupped her face and then he whispered, ‘Because I’m all about the anticipation.’
‘You mean you’re a tease.’
‘You couldn’t possibly know.’ He smiled once more, his eyes shining with a mixture of design and delight. ‘But you could definitely find out.’
Donna Alam writes about exotic locations and the men you aren't married to, but might wish you were. Escapism reads with heart and humour and, of course, plenty of steam.
Hailing from the North of England, she's a nomad at heart moving houses and continents more times than she cares to recall. She once worked at a school like the one described in her Pretty Trilogy. Alas, there were no handsome millionaires hanging around there.
Eclectic reader and part-time perv, Donna is a huge fan of smart men and protagonists with a fair measure of inappropriateness.
