Meet the Masters of Blasphemy…

About MASTERING HER SENSES (Blasphemy #2, 2/21/17):
12 Masters. Infinite fantasies. Welcome to Blasphemy…
He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…
When an accident leaves Cassia Locke with a paralyzing fear of the dark, she’ll try anything to get help. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.
Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.
So...not sure why I haven't read anything by Laura Kaye prior to this, because I love her writing style! Although this is written in third person, I still like the way she was able to capture Quinton's voice and make it sound like a man, not a woman writing in a man's voice. I appreciated that Quentin didn't hold what happened (or didn't happen) with his first play session with Cassia against her before he learned why their scene never took place. Big points for Cassia having the career she does, even if she's not able to perform because of her phobia. There's obvious chemistry between Cassia and Quinton, and their sexy times are eleventy-two kinds of hot! I kept waiting on the point in the story where our intrepid couple experiences whatever miscommunication that happens to cause them to split up, I almost thought it wasn't going to happen. And then it did. But.......what I liked about it is that it was quickly cleared up and the person who was indirectly responsible spoke up right away and actually volunteered to put things right. That made a big impression with me, the fact that these characters owned their mistakes straight away and didn't try to get over on each other. I enjoyed this book enough that I purchased the first book in the series, and I will definitely be keeping up with the future books for the other Masters.
